HOW DO i GET TO HEAVEN

What must you do to be saved?  The short answer is nothing.  Shocked?  Here's Pastor Timothy O'Day of Christ Fellowship Church of Eagle Mountain during a morning show conversation to tell you more.

GET EQUIPPED:  SHARE YOUR FAITH

Christians all agree – the Gospel that saved us into a relationship with Jesus is a message the whole world needs to hear.  So why are we so shy about proclaiming Christ?  Let it not be said that we’re simply not equipped!  Yes, share your story! But be prepared to give the reason for the hope within your story. There’s no need to despair over what to say, because God gave us His word for such an occasion as this.
So equip yourself and start by following the “Romans Road.”

1:  wE ARE ALL SINNERS BY NATURE AND BY CHOICE

ROMANS 3:23 ESV
for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God

2:  THE PUNISHMENT THAT WE HAVE EARNED FOR OUR SINS IS DEATH

ROMANS 6:23 ESV
For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord

3:  JESUS'S DEATH PAID FOR OUR SINS

ROMANS 5:8 ESV
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us

4:  WE MUST BELIEVE AND TRUST IN JESUS

ROMANS 10:9 ESV
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead you will be saved.

ROMANS 10:13 ESV
For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved

5:  THROUGH JESUS WE CAN HAVE A RELATIONSHIP OF PEACE WITH GOD

ROMANS 5:1 ESV
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ

ROMANS 8:1 ESV
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Jesus Christ

NOW PRACTICE and Share!

Memorize the Romans Road, and see how your story fits so nicely into it.

Want more?  Paul's letter to the Romans is not the only place to find the Gospel.  Check out John 3, Ephesians 2, and 1 Corinthians 15.  Then expand your search to the New Testament.  So good!
