You've Got a Friend In Me

In Randy Newman’s sweet little song, You’ve Got a Friend in Me, there’s a line that goes “You got troubles, I've got 'em too; There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you; We stick together and see it through; 'Cause you've got a friend in me.” Culture, however, makes it clear that if you don’t like something another person stands for or even says, or if they even make you feel uncomfortable with their “negativity” you can cancel that friendship with the click of a button. Hardly sticking together and seeing it through! Randy Newman, though, has friendship correct. Let’s see what the Bible says about brotherly love.
