Timeless Relevance

“I’ve searched the world over and found that religion is not for me.” This is the sentiment of many enlightened people who have returned from their quest for purpose. Specifically, when looking into Christianity, they find it dull. Close-minded. Unscientific. Oppressive. Stuffed suits in soup-stained ties, preaching hellfire and brimstone and an antiquated code of morals. Some churches go to extremes to change that perspective, touting a relevant Jesus speaking into relevant issues drinking relevant coffees, and approving “relevant” lifestyles. So which is it? Is Christianity cool or codge-y and does it have any relevance in modern society?
