A Born Loser

Our culture, especially Utahan culture, is driven by success. Dreams are instilled in us at birth – you’ll be the smartest, you’ll have the best career, the best spouse, the best kids, the best car, the best house… and so on. And then the vast majority of us learn that even in our best efforts we will never be the best. Failure, dear friend, becomes our closest companion.

One definition of failure is “goals unachieved.” In other words, “missing the mark.” And this, dear friend, is the exact definition of sin.
