Stand Firm and Buckle Up!

Christians will often use military words to describe their faith-journey with Jesus, which is entirely appropriate given the commands communicated in the New Testament. The phrase stand firm is a military term for holding a position that is under attack. Paul uses this term 15 times throughout six of his letters, three times in Ephesians alone (histemi). You might say this is pretty serious.
