Silence and Solitude

It’s not a big surprise – silence leaves people feeling awkward and uncomfortable. Perhaps it’s because of the noisy world that demands our attention. Maybe it’s our discontent spirits that rise up within us. Strangely, we often find ourselves craving respite from the noise and crowds. Regardless, there are many places in the Bible where we are commanded to sit still.
