It’s probably not a coincidence that gossip and lying are listed among the sins that God despises. And yet, believers in Jesus can easily fall into these traps through what seems well-meaning concerns for others – “would you pray for so-and-so because…” or “I think our dear sister is falling into sin…” It sounds righteous and caring, but boy! Do we have to be cautious!
